Eugene
Cut Flowers Division

In some sense, I took the long way home. I grew up in the business, and as a kid often tagged along with my dad on the truck as he made his rounds selling cut flowers to retail shops. After high school, I worked in a store for two years supporting my way through college. I took a course for electronics but quickly found out that sitting at a bench wasn't very appealing.
After college I searched out greener pastures and worked in landscaping for four years. From there, I moved into the window and door business for six years after which point I was asked if I would be interested in route sales.

Twenty years ago, I took over the Hamilton route and further developed a Toronto route, focusing north of the 401. Between having great customers along with the hustle and bustle of the industry, I have zero regrets.

Peter
Cut Flowers Division

Peter J. Ravensbergen, third-generation grandson of the company’s founder, grew up immersed in the family business. As a child, he spent countless hours in the greenhouse, working and playing alongside his cousins. Some of his earliest memories include sitting in the passenger seat of his father Jake’s route truck, visiting flower shops and building connections with customers.
After high school, Peter naturally stepped into the driver’s seat of his own route truck, combining his love for the open road with his passion for face-to-face sales of cut florals.

For Peter, an office with four wheels and the sound of a turbo diesel is where he thrives, building relationships with customers and continuing the Ravensbergen tradition. Now, as his kids join him on deliveries, the next generation is growing up in the passenger seat, just like he did.
